What is HotSpot?
HotSpot Parking provides a mobile parking application that aims to remove parking as a barrier to people visiting their local core.
HotSpot Parking Inc. is a mobile parking solution that allows parkers to use their phone to park their car at meters and in parking garages to alleviate the need for change.
Although HotSpot is not the first mobile parking solution available for users, HotSpot is the only company that allows small business owners to play a role in the world of parking. HotSpot works to remove parking as a barrier and rather an enjoyable experience, bringing people back to their local cores.
Where is HotSpot?
HotSpot is currently active in the City of Fredericton, Moncton, Charlottetown and Saint John. Every meter and kiosk is equipped with a unique meter number and instructions on use. HotSpot is working on partnerships to ensure we are able to service major garages throughout our current cities.

HotSpot Parking was born in Atlantic Canada, Canada’s small but mighty breeding ground for success. The company was created around the mission to create enjoyable, frictionless parking experiences. Parking has been a long time pain point not only for people visiting their local, but also for the businesses that function within. HotSpot Parking offers a merchant solution that allows small business owners to play a role and control their customers parking, providing them with an extra level of customer service and reason to spend a longer, more enjoyable time in-store.

Gone are the days that people have to fear visiting their city due to the threat of parking tickets. In collaboration with small businesses, we have built the “ticket defender” feature to offer a peace of mind for everyone. We work to encourage people to discover what their own city has to offer. Visitors simply use their smart phone app and with a press of a button, park their vehicle. Small businesses now have the ability to validate customers parking, extend parking meter limits and ensure their customers never receive parking tickets.
How does it work?
To try out the HotSpot application, visit your mobile phones app store and search “HotSpot Parking” or visit www.htsp.ca on your phone’s web browser.
1. Arrive at a parking meter or kiosk open the HotSpot app and press “Park”. You will notice that there is a number assigned to each meter/ kiosk, here you will enter the number and find that the first 30 minutes is free. The option to provide a payment method is presented following the use of this free 30 minutes.
2. Go on your way and enjoy yourself! We will remind you when your time is about to run out so that you may add more time to your session.
3. Didn’t use all of your parking session time? Press the timer count down on your app and you’ll see the “refund” button in the top right corner of the app.
For businesses
HotSpot allows businesses to be businesses. Don’t worry about parking time limits for your customers. Using HotSpot’s iBeacons we can prevent customers from receiving tickets allowing them to stay longer and worry free.
